SILCOR® Primer WA

Category: Water Proofing Primer

Description

Water based acrylic wall / floor primer for use in internal wet areas (only) prior to the application of SILCOR^® 140 FB and 145 FB water based membranes.
Increases the adhesion of water based membranes to the substrate.
Can be applied onto concrete, fibre cement, timber and a variety of common building substrates.

Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry and free from excessive movement, oil, dust, grease, wax, curing compounds, release agents, paint and any other loose contaminating materials.
For non-porous surfaces, use SILCOR Primer SA or consult your local GCP Office.
When applying the primer onto floor surfaces it is recommended to firstly pour some primer in a section then spread the primer using a broom, brush or roller. Then continue this method of application until the entire area is primed. Note: This method of application ensures a thorough coat of the primer on the surface.
Allow the primer to dry for approximately 10 minutes at 20ºC prior to commencing tiling / waterproofing.

Coverage will vary depending upon the substrate. As a guide it will cover approximately 8-10m²/L.

Excess primer, tools and other equipment can be cleaned up using water while the primer is still wet.

SILCOR Primer WA is supplied in 20L pail.
A pail of SILCOR Primer WA, when stored in a cool, dry environment, and is stored above ground level, will have a shelf life of approximately 12months.
